#Outlook email settings windows 10 update#
I have already had to re-enter each of my email accounts on February 1st when the security update to Windwiped them all out. I think I'm using the innate version of mail, calendar and contacts in Outlook within Windows 2016, but cannot confirm this as there is no function that would allow me to check within these apps. The old problem within the Windows 7 version of Outlook mail: constant need to re-enter passwords on various email accounts for no reason. For the particular account it just will not accept my password so I went directly to via my browser and used that password with no problem. If you prefer to use the mouse, look on the Tools, Send and Receive menu, Send/Receive Groups, Define Send and Receive Groups. The easiest way to open the Send and Receive dialog is using the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+S. Issue with the one account that Outlook considers not in date. To change how frequently Outlook does automatic send and receives, you need to edit the Send and Receive settings. In my phone's Outlook mail account this locks me out of any mail function until I have addressed the On one account it would accept my password and clear the notification triangle in Outlook only to have it come back immediately. If you unable to open links in Outlook, Windows email, Thunderbird or from any other program in Windows 10, continue reading below to fix the problem.

Outlook keeps telling me that email settings are "out of date" on various and the same email accounts repeatedly, forcing me to re-enter my password for the account, verify the backup emails and phone numbers for the accounts and re-grant the permissionsįor the account. The problem usually occurs after a Windows 10 update and only if the user uses Firefox or Chrome as the default web browser and not with Microsoft Edge.
